After the birth of her son, Allison battled with postpartum depression. Searching for an outlet, she found running to be exactly what she needed; it provided a mental and physical escape, and was a helping hand up out of the darkness of her overwhelming postpartum struggles. Since then, Allison has completed several ultramarathons, sky races and triathlons. She believes physical movement is incredibly healing, and is essential to mental wellbeing.
Her professional knowledge paired with her passion and history of endurance training makes Allison doubly qualified to counsel performance and endurance athletes. Being one herself, she understands the mindset required in order to handle the highs and lows of training and racing.
